Made known, informed, apprised

Bodhita, is a mental health initiative that intends to provide wholistic healing through an eclectic approach involving psychotherapeutic interventions and Arts Based Therapy.

Bodhita drew its inspiration from the Mahayana tradition of Mind training . The name derives its meaning from the root sanskrit word: बोधित p. p. [बुध्-णिच् क्त] meaning:

Made known, informed, apprised.
Advised, instructed.

Co-occurring with this meaning, the aspirations for Bodhita came from Bodhicharyavatara, by Shantideva, 8th-century Indian Buddhist monk and scholar at Nalanda:

May I be a protector to those without protection,
A leader for those who journey,
And a boat, a bridge, a passage
For those desiring the further shore.
May the pain of every living creature
Be completely cleared away.
May I be the doctor and the medicine
And may I be the nurse
For all sick beings in the world
Until everyone is healed.

Bodhita, thus born, is a centre where psychotherapeutic services are provided keeping in line with
the above aspirations . It is a place where open learnings are promoted  with the intention
of healing, joyous living and ultimate happiness.
